So quick run down of day 2 with the starfish:
- Watched yet more dvds (elmo, cars for the 80th time, etc.)
- Blowed my nose prob. around 150 times... my nose is officially red and raw (gross!) Did you know they sell kleenex with lotion to prevent this?
- Spent a few hours talking to insurance company, emory hospital, & our pediatrician. Almost couldn't get an appointment with pediatric orthopedic until March (AHHHHH!!! 2 MONTHS in CAST!) but prayers answered and it ended up working out.
- Drove back from Atlanta to Athens to start our new journey here with the starfish, and he did great being strapped in the back seat.
- Spent time with Alice & Collin Woodard as they helped us unpack and settle in, and got great food from Lindsey Adair.
- Snuggled with Ethan on couch while watching Little Mermaid, but just when I thought we were having a moment, boom, he throws a car at my face and then hits his head into my mouth. You just never know.
Thankful for a husband who cleans up the house in an amazing way, parents that still take care of me and are continually selfless in their love, and a child that can still laugh in the midst of uncomfortable circumstances. Thankful for our friends at church who are providing meals and good meals at that! Thankful for Abby and Lynn reading the blog and commenting on it- its like you guys are here:)

So sorry this has happened, but it looks like you are starting to figure out how to make it work. I have your wonderful Christmas picture on my fridge and pray for you all when I see it (which is a lot I'm feeding a teenager!). Let me know if there is some way I can help. Love you all. Sandy
WHAT a get-up! Geepers! I haven't even seen anything quite like it even with my disabled clients! Ethan's ability to adjust is really being challenged! not to mention Mom and Dad's! What a kid!
What a predicament to reminisce about about YEARS from now, after it's all over...and the pictures are just "sweet" memories! =)
Hang in there guys!
I love that you were almost having a moment over the Little Mermaid. If he develops a complex about his masculinity in years to come, he'll be thrilled to look back at this blog and discover that he smacked you. That movie scared the mess out of me! All those tentacles! Evil women. I'm really happy to hear that he's being raised with Disney princesses, though. Well rounded film education.
